Skin Clinic!
According to Melanoma New Zealand, our melanoma incidence rate is the highest in the world. More than 7000 melanomas are diagnosed yearly in NZ, with almost 300 kiwis dying of melanoma each year.
Taupo Medical Centre is pleased to let you know that we have a specialist skin nurse, Paula, joining our team from the 25th of March 2025. Paula has extensive knowledge and experience in identifying and treating lesions of concern, and will be running a skin clinic at the practice every Tuesday.
Paula will offer 30-minute full body checks to assess and identify any lesions of concern, along with photographing all lesions for future comparisons. These assessments are priced at $175 and are recommended annually to track any changes over time.
Paula will also be offering 15-minute spot checks if you have a specific lesion, you are worried about.
