Changes to Script Requests via Portal
Effective August 12th, all script requests on the MyIndici Patient Portal will require pre-payment before you can place an order. This change is to help reduce patient debt and avoid extra administrative charges for unpaid invoices. You can still request prescriptions through our call centre, reception, or during your GP visit.
The MyIndici portal now includes a “script status” feature, allowing you to track the progress of your prescription within our practice. You will be able to see whether your script is with the Provider Support Team, with your GP, when it has been sent to the pharmacy, and when the pharmacy has processed it.
If your script is declined and you need to schedule a review, the charge will be credited to your account. This credit can be applied toward your review or consultation, your next prescription, or you can send a portal message to the Provider Support Team to request a refund.
If your account has a credit balance of $15 or more, you will not need to pre-pay for your script. Please note that if you request a script through a portal message rather than using the standard medicine menu, you may be asked to resubmit your request using the medicine menu.
The prescription fee at your GP practice is separate from the $5 medication costs at community pharmacies. Some local pharmacies may offer to waive this fee for patients. Check with your local pharmacist to see if you qualify.
If you have issues with paying your account, please reach out to us to discuss your options – we are here to help!
Kind Regards,
The Team @ Taupō Medical Centre
